Two Counties Motor Show - Newmarket - 27th June 2010

Last years show was cancelled due to financial reasons by the organisers, so it was good news that the show would be back for the 2010 season. We were stationed in a new area this year which unfortunately did not have any trees we could shelter under. luckily Alan had brought a Parasol along with him which produced just enough shade for him, John and myself. It was a bit like the magic roundabout as we shifted our chairs around as the sun changed position. The Sun was already very hot by 09:30 when we arrived and by high noon even more so. There was a good turn out of classic cars, the East Coast mini club and of course us (mini folk united). We put up with heat until 3 O'clock when we decided to call it a day. The seats in Mortie were roasting and by the time I got back home I was well and truly cooked. To sum up, really good show and its a definite for next year. Many thank's to The Lions Club of Ely, Rowley Mile racecourse and the many other sponsors..........Maddy

I bought some tyre renovating spray and just look at the result on Mortie's wheels. Alan liked it so much that he scurried off and bought some too. It was so good that John asked if he could borrow some, so I lent him mine and all three cars soon had gleaming tyres - good stuff!

Best car in show was an 1938 Buick Sedan and a proud owner poses for the camera's.
