IMAGES FROM STONELEIGH 2005

A grey start to the day. Harry from the AME picked me up at 07:15 ready for our trip to Stoneleigh. 07:45 and we met up with members from the Bury mini club at Tesco's in Milton. Other members from the AME turned up around 08:15 and shortly after we were on our way to rendevouz with Karena & Marc from the Saffron Walden and Cambridge mini club. Four mini clubs were represented in our convoy. AME, Bury Mini club, Safmini and the MFU (mini Folk United) a classic case of co-operation between mini clubs. We had an easy run up the A14, M6, A45 and thence to the National Agricultral Exhibition halls at Stoneleigh arriving there at around 10:45. Paid our £8 and set off to buy goodies for our minis. This year the format was different - two large exhibition halls filled with trade stalls, club stands and an amazing crowd of people willing to part with large wads of money. Our bunch managed to just about get all the things we had on our wish lists. With much two and throwing from the halls to the cars with our goodies we settled down to a less energetic wander around the halls and picked up the odd little bit that took our eye. We set off around 14:30 and promptly got lost within about 20 minutes. Still it was an interesting route back home. As usual the show was as good as ever and all of us had a good day out.
