Stanford Hall - 11th September - 2011.

Our club arrived at around 09:40 and were soon parked up, after setting up the stand it was time for the obligatory bacon butties, as usual Cris cooked them to perfection - nice and crispy. I needed to buy some new Yokohama tires for my Cooper as the rear ones were almost to the bar, they'll be fitted tomorrow at my local garage. Huddesfield mini supplied two for just £37.50 each - a bargain. Once they had been taken back to Mortie it was time for me to start painting with light with my DSLR camera, the results you can see below. We were very lucky with the weather today, for the most part sunny and quite warm coupled with the occasional sprinkling of fine dust blowing onto our cars caused by the strong gusts of wind. We had a very short sharp shower around 2:30 but it did not put the dampers on the crowds of mini enthusiasts.

Jeff Ruggles popped onto our stand for a natter and took a picture of Mortie, it might just appear in Mini Magazine sometime? Jeff will be going to Italy shortly to pick up an Innocenti mini with the intention of driving it back to the UK, it's sure to be the basis of an article in Mini Magazine so watch out for that.

The show was brilliant as ever with many delectable minis around especially in the concours area where their owners were busily polishing away. Check out the images of the Minis up on stands.

Today, 12th September the new tyres were fitted and the car is now well shod and ready for another exciting year of Mini motoring. I've also uploaded another ten pictures, still a few left to do, so watch this space. Our members are looking forward to another exciting season in 2012. To all mini owners, hope that all your projects over the winter season are accomplished and hope to see you at the shows. This is Maddy signing off on behalf of Mini Folk United.
