Stanford Hall - 9th September - 2007.
This show just gets better every year - we arrived at 09:20 and found ourselves directed to a splendid pitch by the river. Just in front of us were the cars assembled for the concours competition. Owners were peering into every little nook and cranny and frantically polishing away. The sun finally broke through the low cloud layer at around 12 O'clock becoming very warm soon after, Phew! With four rows of trade stands and auto jumble pitches many things could be bought at very reasonable prices. Adam came back smiling with a smart wooden steering wheel which he hopes to fit when he gets back home. Westley would you believe had spent all his money by 09:45 getting parts for his current project car (watch out for details at a later date). This report is being compiled by the riverside at Stanford hall so that it can be uploaded when we get back. Putting up the club stand this time around was a real snap as we have just bought one of the pop up kind. (many thank's to Alan for bringing it along). Grant had a problem with his window winder which John managed to fix about half an hour before we were due to leave the show. (see new rolling report). As promised we're expanding this report. We'd like to thank Mini World magazine and the National mini owners club for the most brilliant Stanford Hall show we have ever visited over the last 12 years or so. We really enjoyed our spot by the river making access to the show so enjoyable. Maddy over the next few days will be compiling a gallery of this years show pictures, she's got a lot of processing to do and we're sure you'll enjoy the high resolution images - be patient! This is Rover signing off for Mini folk United. Enjoy the current images folk's.
