Fish & Chip Run - Sunday 7th October - 2007.

Today was our clubs annual Fish & Chips outing to Sunny Hunny and Wells-Next-The-Sea Norfolk. Unfortunately only 3 cars turned up for what turned out to be an excellent day out. We left Littleport at 10 O'clock and made our way to Hunstanton, had a bit of bother parking as it seemed everyone else had the same idea for a trip out. Eventually we managed to park up in a side street near the clifftop road. We all made our way to the Sunday market and had a good old browse on the various stalls. One stall was selling metal wall posters and I promptly bought a mini cooper one for a tenner. Alan and Chrissie bought some plants whilst Sean & Grant made a beeline for the tools stall. After a turn or two around the town it was time for our lunch. Once lunch was over it was time for the next leg of our trip - onto Brancaster Staithe for a 10 minute stop and a photo opportunity. With that done we barreled into Wells, again problems with parking, but in the end we managed to park up on the Quayside as last year. First thing on our minds was to go to the Cider works where we all bought fine Norfolk Cider, the shop assistant was kept busy as we almost emptied his shelves, so heavily laden with bottles we made our way back to the Quayside with much clinking from the carrier bags. Grant & Sean went for a brisk walk around town whilst Alan, Chrissie and myself made a tour of the shops. At around 4:30 it was time to make our way back home. All, in all a very good day was had by all. Next year we plan to go earlier in the year, until then this is Maddy signing off.
