IMAGES FROM ROWLEY MILE - NEWMARKET 2005
What a cracking start to the day, blazing hot sunshine, and a gentle breeze to take the edge of the heat. Sizzling sausages and bacon for breakfast and mugs of steaming hot coffee, the stand all set up and open for business. All of this before 09:30am by the way. I'm keeping this report short and sweet as I am just too darn hot. Sufficed to say that the show was up to its usual standard with very friendly people and fine examples of classic cars. Safmini were at the show with some 15 cars on display, some of their members came up and said hello and stayed for quite a chat in the end. We had several visitors to the stand asking about local mini clubs and car restorers. One American visitor was quite impressed with our efforts and wished us well. It turned out that he was the owner of the original Saint car as used by Roger Moore in the Saint TV series. Its not a copy, it really is the original and complete with the logbook and Rogers name inside. Well that's me done now, enjoy the images.
