Littleport Village show 24th July 2010
What a glorious day for a village show, hot sun and no hint of rain. Alan came up from Bishops Stortford for the day getting to me at around 08:30. We had a short drive of about 300 metres from my house and parked up on the show ground. There was a good collection of classic cars on show, our two minis and guests Mark & Liz from the Norfolk mini ownwers club, Marcus had brought along his Fully original Austin mini (original paint and interior and all in excellent condition). We were treated to an awsome display by birds of prey, a huge Sea Eagle from the Russian federation, a Bald Eagle from Canada and an huge Vulture. When they flew around it was truly stunning with low swoops over the audience and back to the hand of the trainer. Unfortunately the battery in my camcorder died and I was unable to catch the action on video, you can see the scale of the birds from the stills. Later on we had a display of motorcyle stunts and the leaps they made over the ramps was daring to say the least. I reckon they got to about 20 feet into the air. Well, after spending a day in the hot sun and then nipping home after the show to do this report, all I can say is" Another brilliant Littleport Village Show" This is Maddy signing off - Enjoy the images folks.
