Kimbolton Charity Classic Car Show & Country Fayre - July 18th 2010

Kimbolton 2010 18th July Just two of us made the trip here, holidays and other commitments taking toll of our other members. Good trip up taking about an hour in all, parked up in our usual spot not far from the main entrance. We did not bring the gazebo seeing as it was semi destroyed at the Norfolk show in May. A new one is on the cards, one hopefully that will stand up to sudden gusts of wind! After a quick snack it was time to take a wander and photograph a few cars and chat with other clubs. As usual the show was well attended with lots of charity stalls all doing a brisk trade, one stall was selling wood carvings, including some really cute ducks one of which I promptly bought, it'll look good on the fireplace. In the main arena we had display by Shire horses, 16th soldiers who put on a noisy show, Dog training. On some of the side stands we had Celtic dancing, wood carving and many other activities. As I wandered around I came across some very desirable machines, in particular a very nice Shelby Mustang, sure would like one of those. Well, that's about it for this years show report and I'm sure we'll be back next year with lots of minis hopefully. Maddy
