HAMOC to Hunstanton Run 29th April 2007
Something different for MiniFolk this weekend a trip to Sunny Hunny
(Hunstanton - Norfolk). We were invited by the Huntingdon Area Mini owners club to join them
on their 5th road run to Hunstanton. We'd sent off for our run packs a couple of weeks ago which we received this week. John, Shaun, Grant, and myself
joined HAMOC at Hunstanton around 11:55 and parked up with the other Twenty or so Minis in a long line near the Old Pier. Parking was free as we were
a kind of Tourist attraction for the visitors. We were kept busy all day talking about our minis from folk who used to own minis of their own in years past.
I was kept busy talking about my 1966 Mini Cooper by various people, some that were restoring a mini and others that used to race them when they were younger.
One mini of note belongs to Holly a member of HAMOC who had brought along her Mini Shorty (see pictures).
Another mini belonging to a member of POSH was a camper conversion of a Traveller estate, quite interesting to look at. I left at around 3:45 in order to
get this report to you. Many thank's to HAMOC who arranged the trip. This is Maddy signing off on behalf of our hosts and MiniFolk United.
