BMC Rally, Ferry Meadows, Peterborough 2011
This was Mini Folk United first visit to the BMC Rally at Ferry Meadows, Peterborough Cris and John came up from Bishops Stortford to meet me at The Little Chef, Ely. Our route was to take us through the heart of the Fens via the notorious Ramsey Forty Foot drain, Through Pondersbridge and thence into Peterborough and the Nene Park where the Rally was taking place. The weather was OK apart from the constant wind which meant our gazebo was put under strain. As usual breakfast was in order, and Cris was soon busy preparing the sizzling hot bacon butties - yummy. Yours truly was soon up and about with camera in hand, sorry to say most of shots are of very delectable minis and a few snaps of other BMC cars. The trade and Auto jumble stands were located at the far end of the grounds, a quite considerable walk. I was able to pick up a few items at very good prices, a Smith's rev counter, new windscreen washer pump, and a clip on mirror for my cooper. The weather started to deteriorate around 3pm so we decided to break camp and make our way home, just in time as it started to rain as we left the showground. Good show, and we'll probably go again next year........Maddy
