Barrington 2010

2010 and again I set off to Barrington and the new year meet on the village green. Alan Wright beat me agin this year having arrived in the Saxo some 10 minutes earlier. I decided to bring Mortie my 66 Cooper along taking a chance that the roads would not be too bad. As the ground was quite boggy I hesitated about parking on the grass but in the end did so, mind you I placed the car as close to the edge of the access road so I could get off easily. Simon Denney turned up in his 70's Mini, plus a lot of the Safmini crew. The oldest car at the show was 98 years young and a real credit to the owners for bringing it along. Coupled with the brilliant sunshine and clear blue sky I would say that this has easily beaten 2009's show. As usual Monty had organised the meeting to perfection.
