Barrington 2009

This year Alan beat me to the show having arrived about 15 minutes earlier. Boris was pressed into service as I did not want Mortie to get dirty especally as there is still salt on the roads in these here parts. Boris threw a wobbly by deciding to cut out in the middle of a three lane roundabout, very annoying for me and other motorists. Apart from that the run down was OK with no further incidents. From about midday cars of all ages and descriptions started to turn up and park on the green which luckily was quite solid, so no torn up grass to worry about. Monty the organizer was busy marshalling cars and chatting with various drivers - me included. Marc and Karena from Safmini turned in Nigel (Marc's 1275) mini, Simon Denney was displaying his 1970 MK 3 mini which has been fitted with a Suzuki swift engine and attracting much attention. I would say that this has been the best showing at Barrington for some years and all credit to Monty for organizing the meet. This is Maddy for Mini Folk United signing off.
